# Turn a tweet into an Instagram Story video

A Story is 9:16 and Instagram covers roughly the top and bottom 250 pixels with its own interface: your profile row above, the reply bar and link sticker below. A video card placed centrally survives all of it, one placed low does not.

## How it works

1. Paste the link to the post.
1. Keep the 9:16 canvas so it fills a Story.
1. Adjust the fade-in motion and the 6-second length.
1. Press Render video, then download the MP4 and add it to your Story.

Stories cap at 15 seconds per card before Instagram splits them, so this page keeps the clip well under that. The motion settles early and holds, because a Story viewer taps through fast and the readable frame needs to be there immediately.

### How long can an Instagram Story video be?

15 seconds per card. Longer uploads are split across multiple cards, which breaks a single animation in half.

### Where does Instagram's interface cover a Story?

Roughly the top and bottom 250 pixels of a 1920-tall frame. Keep the card centred and clear of both.

### Should Stories be MP4 or GIF?

MP4. Instagram does not accept GIF uploads for Stories and will not animate them.
