Convert a tweet to MP4

MP4 with H.264 is the only video format you can hand to anyone and expect it to just play. Every social platform ingests it, every editor imports it, and every phone opens it without a codec pack. If you are unsure what to export, this is the answer.

This page renders H.264 at up to 1080p. Bitrate is derived from the frame size and rate rather than fixed, so a tall 1080x1920 clip is not starved of data and a small square is not needlessly huge.

Questions

What codec is used in the MP4?
H.264 (AVC), the most widely supported video codec. The tool picks the best profile your browser accepts, preferring Main and falling back to Baseline.
Why does MP4 export not work in my browser?
MP4 encoding needs the WebCodecs API. Safari added it in 16.4; before that the tool falls back to WebM and says so rather than failing.
Can I import the MP4 into Premiere or CapCut?
Yes. It is a standard H.264 MP4 with a normal frame rate, so any editor will import it without transcoding.
