A browser screenshot of a tweet is captured at your screen's pixel density, which is usually 1x or 2x. Enlarge it for a slide or a poster and it turns soft, because there is no extra detail to reveal.

This page renders the card from scratch at 4x, so a standard tweet exports around 2392 pixels wide with genuinely sharp glyph edges. That is enough for a full-width presentation slide or for print at 300 DPI.

- How big is a 4x tweet export?
- A standard 598-pixel card becomes about 2392 pixels wide, plus whatever padding you add around it.
- Can I print a tweet image?
- Yes. At 4x you have enough resolution for roughly 200mm wide at 300 DPI, which covers most print use.
- Why not always render at the maximum scale?
- Very large canvases are slow and can be dropped by mobile browsers running low on memory. 3x is the practical default.
